something to do on sunday

broke on a sunday. nothing to report. i cleaned the house, worked on my blog for a while. i put on a pot of coffee, rolled a joint and watched my favorite cartoon on tv.

i need to get the maintenance people over to the apartment to at least fix the leaking sink. never mind that right now. i stuck my head out the front door and it was a nice day, so i needed to go out and do something.

i check online and found that the harold washington library was open until 5p – and i decided that would be a fun outing.

i showered and left the apartment, stopping by the asian grocery store to buy a banana. i got on the redline going towards jackson and read HST – “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” to pass the time.

this building is amazing, 9 floors of books and shit – almost like a museum. they are very proud of it

it is getting close to closing time, and my battery is about juiced out.

the wind is biting and so is indy

1am - it’s a blustery 20°f, and as the news loves to report “colder by the lake”. the same lake i live by. cheers for my 5$ coat! and lets not forget the new space heater, another recent craigslist purchase.

heat - i’m loving it.

about 10:30 i went to take care of HA’s cats for him while he is off in toronto visiting family.

yes the cats were adopted while HA and i were together, sadly, he wanted to keep them. but to be fair, i have my own pussy that came with me into the relationship and consequently left with me.

i walked the few blocks thru the biting ne wind @ 21mph – to clean kitty litter off the floor, fill food/ water bowls, scoop poop – briefly entertain – all to find out the wind isn’t the only thing that is biting this evening.

the past 3 weeks have not been kind

i will write more later, when i have the chance, but here's part of my excuse for being lazy - and i do have a LOT to say. but for now!! as the title states, ain't been a good 3 weeks;

i just got out of the hospital today - and have the day off tomorrow. hopefully i'll use the time to write.

the nurses affectionately referred to this sack of fluid, hanging from a pole on wheels, draining into my arm as my "co-pilot"
